Water is our most valuable resource

Last week, our boss was invited to give a keynote speech on "Why our water resources deserve more attention" at the CTC Award: Close the circle event by Ghezzo: Wissen rockt! in Vienna.

Every Austrian consumes 130 liters of water per day - in the hotel industry, each guest consumes twice as much! A lot of water is also needed in industry and agriculture. And water scarcity is one of the issues of the future that also needs to be addressed in Austria.

But consumption is not the only problem; leaking pipes and maintaining the best water quality are also important. Holistic water management that takes into account water-saving measures, leak-proof pipe systems, rainwater harvesting and the recycling of water and wastewater is the way forward. What's more, wastewater is also a valuable source of energy for heating and cooling buildings.

This summer in particular, we experienced a very hot and dry period, followed by heavy rainfall and flooding, which led to problems with the water supply and water quality. Due to climate change, this will unfortunately occur even more frequently in the future.

Water also has a strong influence on us. For more than 30 years, we have placed a special focus on water and wastewater technology. With the Rabmer Group, we offer a wide range of products to save water, reduce water losses, ensure the quality of drinking water and use wastewater as a resource.

Many thanks to Gudrun Ghezzo and Alexander Ghezzo for inviting us to talk about the importance of water and the strategies needed to ensure that we still have enough drinking water in the future.
