4 star superior hotel group Werzers saves water and energy with Ecowaterjet from Rabmer

The high energy prices accompany us also this year. These are particularly hard on domestic hoteliers and so solutions are urgently needed. The 4-star superior hotel group Werzers, with its hotels Werzers Resort Pörtschach and Seehotel Werzers Wallerwirt, relies on innovative Austrian environmental technology with the water saving system from Rabmer, from which both the hotel and the guests as well as the environment benefit: The mini turbine is an Austrian invention that sustainably reduces hot water consumption in the shower without any loss of comfort, thus saving energy, water and also operating costs in the long term.

"Our showers offer great potential for saving energy and costs. After all, we use a lot of water and energy with them every day," knows Robert Gasser, commercial hotel director of the Werzer. "The most important thing, however, is that the savings do not come at the expense of our guests," he continues. The innovative intermediate piece for the shower, from the family-owned company Rabmer from Upper Austria makes exactly that possible: the mini turbine is screwed between the faucet and the shower hose without any tools, thus reducing water and energy consumption by up to 50% while maintaining full showering comfort.

Werzers halves energy consumption
"We want to offer our guests a special stay with us that they will remember positively for a long time. At the same time, we want to do something good for the environment. That's why we were looking for a solution to save energy sustainably, but without a lot of installation work. The Rabmer mini turbine simply convinced us. It was installed quickly and is perfect for our guests thanks to the pleasantly strong shower jet intensity. The fact that the product also comes from Austria is another plus point," says hotel director Robert Gasser happily. A total of 220 of the mini-turbines are in use in the Werzers Hotel Group, saving around 7 million liters of water and 290,000 kWh of energy as well as 90 tons of CO2 per year.

Water-air mixture ensures savings and comfort
"In our mini-turbine, the water flow is reduced, but additionally mixed with air and strongly swirled. This massively increases the flow rate, resulting in a pleasantly strong shower jet. One has thus no losses with the usual comfort", knows Ulrike Rabmer Koller, managing director of the Rabmer group. "In addition, with the Mini-Turbine, hotels reduce not only their water and energy consumption but also their operating costs - this is particularly important in view of the high energy costs and the CO2 pricing that came into force in October. Two examples: A hotel with 100 rooms saves up to 13,000 euros per year in costs with our water-saving system; A four-person household up to 400 euros per year," says Rabmer-Koller. "We are very proud that our product is already saving water and energy in many renowned hotels around the globe. These include Bio- und Wellnessresort Stanglwirt, Falkensteiner Group, Ambassador Hotel Vienna, Eurotherme Resort Bad Schallerbach, Naturhotel Forsthofgut, Johannesbad Group (Germany), Castell Son Claret and Santos Hotel Nixe Palace (Spain), Naturhotel Pfösl (South Tyrol), JA Resorts & Hotels (Dubai), and many more."
