5* Organic Hotel Stanglwirt focuses on sustainability

The world-renowned Stanglwirt is an organic farm and a five-star wellness and luxury hotel in one and has been welcoming all guests for more than 400 years with authentic Tyrolean hospitality and a varied range of high-quality leisure, sports and recreation facilities. Sustainability plays an essential role at Stanglwirt: every conversion, extension or new build is based on the Stanglwirt building philosophy and meets the highest sustainability criteria. Nothing is left to chance when it comes to comfort and coziness.

Initial skepticism quickly vanished
Water is omnipresent at the Stanglwirt. The crystal-clear drinking water is of top quality and comes directly from the hotel's own Kaiserquelle spring, which also feeds the entire wellness area. Wellness in Tyrol becomes a refreshing experience for all the senses at the Stanglwirt. The skepticism was correspondingly high when Rabmer was allowed to present the water-saving system 6 years ago, because all water-saving systems tested up to that point could not meet the high requirements of the luxury hotel. After the first practical test on site was fully convincing, Rabmer's water and energy saving system was installed in the showers - for a period of 6 months, both in the hotel and in the private area - and critically tested for comfort and water savings by Wagner Consult, the engineering office advising the Stanglwirt.

Convincing result - up to 50% saving completely without loss of comfort
The result of the test phase was convincing, because although water consumption was reduced by up to 50%, there was no loss of comfort in terms of shower jet intensity. Junior boss Elisabeth Hauser-Benz was suitably impressed: "To be honest, I hadn't expected this result, because in the past we were often promised a lot, which was then not kept in the practical test. The water and energy-saving system from Rabmer has completely convinced us. We can retrofit all our shower systems very easily and thus save water and energy - without any loss of comfort for the guest and at the same time completely in line with our environment and our Stanglwirt philosophy of building biology." Rabmer's water and energy saving system has been in use without interruption ever since and has saved Stanglwirt many 1,000 m3 of water, energy,_CO2 and, of course, a corresponding amount in operating costs.
